Privacy Policy

This policy applies to the BeeKey apps (iPhone, Android, macOS, Windows) and the beekey.beeca.vn server operated by BEECA.

1. Text you translate

To translate, the text you choose to translate is sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) to the BeeKey server and on to AI models from OpenAI and Anthropic (Google Gemini as a fallback when those two services are unavailable). The translation is returned to your device. On Mac, if you turn on automatic translation of incoming messages for a chat, that chat's incoming messages are also sent for translation this way.
Apart from the trial period described just below, BeeKey does not store or log your source text or translations on its servers or in logs, error-reporting tools or analytics tools; BeeKey only counts usage.
How these providers handle data is governed by their own policies: OpenAI, Anthropic, Google.
BeeKey does not translate in password fields. A message is sent only when you press Enter or Send.
Voice typing (Android): speech is processed by your phone's speech recognition service, usually Google, which may send audio to its provider's servers. BeeKey does not record or store audio and does not send your speech or the recognized text to BeeKey servers (the text reaches BeeKey only if you choose to translate it, like text you type).

Trial period: saving translations to improve quality

Who: Free plan accounts (saved by default) and internal BEECA accounts that turn it on, during the trial period (expected to end on 30/11/2026). BeeKey saves only after you accept these Terms and this Policy. Paid accounts (Pro, Premium) are not saved; when you move to a paid plan, BeeKey stops saving. Free accounts currently given Pro or Premium benefits (promotions, education codes) still count as Free.
What is saved: the text you send for translation and its translation, with technical details of that translation (languages, tone, AI model). Incoming messages read only for context and text in password fields are not saved. Phone numbers, email addresses and runs of 10 or more digits (card or account numbers) are masked before saving.
Not linked to you: records contain no user ID, email, IP address or device information; the time is kept only to the hour.
Purpose and retention: only to find and fix BeeKey translation errors. Content is encrypted on the server and deleted automatically after 90 days. Saved text is reviewed with the AI tool Claude, processed by Anthropic on BeeKey's behalf; text chosen as a correction example has names and numbers masked before BEECA staff see it. BeeKey does not sell this text or use it to train other parties' AI models.
Turn it off at any time on the Account page (beekey.beeca.vn/tai-khoan). It takes effect from your next translation. Because records are not linked to your account, BeeKey cannot find and delete your saved text individually; it is deleted automatically after 90 days.

2. Data BeeKey stores

Account: email; name and profile picture (if you sign in with Google); your plan and its expiry date.
Usage data: number of translations, target language, tokens and estimated cost per day - without any content. Daily data is kept for 90 days, then aggregated by month.
Settings and glossary terms you create (languages, tone, glossary) for use when translating.
Payments: order code, plan, amount, status and payment time; for plans bought on iPhone: transaction ID, product and expiry date provided by Apple. BeeKey does not receive or store card or bank account details.

Account data is stored with Supabase on servers located in Singapore. Sign-in tokens on your device are kept in the operating system's secure storage (Keychain, Credential Manager, Keystore).

3. Sign in with Google or Apple

When you sign in with Google, BeeKey requests only the openid email profile scopes and uses your email, name and profile picture solely to create and identify your account and to display them in the app. BeeKey does not access Gmail, Drive, contacts or any other Google data, and does not sell or share it or use it for advertising. BeeKey's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

When you sign in with Apple, BeeKey requests only your email address. If you choose to hide your email, BeeKey receives a relay address created by Apple. This email is used only to create and identify your account.

4. Data sharing

BeeKey does not sell data. Data only passes through the parties needed to operate the service: Supabase (accounts), OpenAI, Anthropic and Google (processing translations, not retained by BeeKey apart from the trial period in section 1), Apple and payOS (payments), Cloudflare (content delivery). Otherwise, data is disclosed only when required by law.

5. Your rights

You can delete your account directly in the app (iPhone: Account → Delete account), or request access to, correction or deletion of your account and all related data by emailing support@beeca.vn. Deleting your account also deletes your usage data, settings and glossary; payment records are kept without any link to your account for accounting purposes. Subscriptions bought through Apple must be cancelled separately in your Apple ID settings.
