Installation notes
Quick answers for installing on your device
The Accessibility permission lets BeeKey receive the Enter shortcut and put the translation into the chat box you are typing in, in WeChat, Zalo or LINE. The Mac version is signed with an Apple Developer ID and has passed Apple's notarization check. BeeKey only reads text when you press the translate key, and it skips password fields.
We recommend the .zip: extract everything to its own folder, then double-click BeeKey.exe and it runs without Administrator rights. Note: extract to a folder before opening; do not run it directly from inside the archive viewer.
The Windows version does not have a digital signature yet, so Windows SmartScreen may show a warning. Click More info, then Run anyway to open BeeKey.
Under iOS rules, a third-party keyboard needs Allow Full Access turned on to connect over HTTPS to the translation server. If you turn it off, the BeeKey keyboard still types Vietnamese Telex as normal but cannot translate.
On macOS and Windows, click the BK icon in the menu bar or system tray, open Help and choose Check for updates; by default the app updates itself. On iPhone and Android, the app updates through the App Store and Google Play.
